Critical Estoppel Ethics

Home

We have been accused of many things over the past few years. Let me remind the reader of my ethical position in November 2002, when I launched Mad, Bad or Sad?

Some Important Issues

Before I continue, I need to make two things absolutely clear:

• I have never, am not and will never be an abuser or molester of any living thing, man, woman, child or animal. However, I do have an intense interest in the issues, and I offer my findings to all. I have been charged, admitted legal guilt, spent over seven months in prison and remain on license for the offence.

• It is unacceptable for any living creature i.e. adult, child or animal to be abused. Presently, the procedures and processes used by many law enforcement agencies and judiciaries are not only ineffective and unfocussed, but actually detract from the real considerations and alleviation of the abuse of children, in particular. This is my contribution, by collating a selection of reputable or, at least, verifiable resources, so as to allow a realistic interpretation of the issues and how they affect my life.

More here.

When I created this ethical position, I could never have dreamed of what was to come, in terms of misfeasance, misinformation, lies and denial from the authorities, and from a number of other groups and individuals.

More recently, a substantial number of contributors detailed the collective ethical position:

Reasons for MBS? and the Forum

1. To assist those caught in child pornography investigations in the face of media and police hostility and distortion of facts.

2. To uncover the facts behind Operation Ore which incorrectly and unjustly labelled thousands of men as child abusers, resulted in the deaths of 33 men and took 10s of millions of pounds out of 'proper' child protection.

3. To understand the background to why men access child pornography and other extreme pornographic material.

4. To offer non-judgemental support to those involved and their families.

We do not:

1. "Advise people how to avoid prosecution"

2. Tell people how and where to access child pornography.

3. Support or condone child abuse. Child abuse is real, common and often very harmful, though not universally so.

4. Oppose those groups who support better resources being made available to survivors of child abuse.

Here is one of my personal, guiding ethical structures:

Contemporary Chivalry

The Ten Commandments of the Code of Contemporary Chivalry

1. Thou shalt believe all that the humanity teaches, and shalt observe all its directions.
2. Thou shalt defend humanity.
3. Thou shalt repect all weaknesses, and shalt constitute thyself the defender of them.
4. Thou shalt love the country in the which thou wast born.
5. Thou shalt not recoil before thine enemy.
6. Thou shalt make war against the Infidel without cessation, and without mercy.
7. Thou shalt perform scrupulously thy feudal duties, if they be not contrary to the laws of truth.
8. Thou shalt never lie, and shall remain faithful to thy pledged word.
9. Thou shalt be generous, and give largess to everyone.
10. Thou shalt be everywhere and always the champion of the Right and the Good against Injustice and Evil.

Since these statements were made, what was MBS? has come a long way, and now encompasses not only all areas of human sexuality, but also medical, legal and sociological research, and many other studies of the human condition.
